Fleet Feet Houston opened two more stores in the Houston area: River Oaks Shopping Center at 2012 W. Gray and in the Lake Point Village Shopping Center at 15890 Southwest Freeway #600 in Sugar Land. The stores are owned and operated by Jim and Claudette Braden, who opened the first Texas location 35 years ago in Houston and have five other area stores. Founded in 1976 in Sacramento, Calif., Fleet Feet has a network of community-based retail stores across the country offering personalized fitting using 3D foot scanning. Other area locations are at 4501 Greenbriar, 6590 Woodway, 122 Vintage Park Blvd, 1925 Hughes Landing in the Woodlands and 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd. in Katy.
Ashley Nadon has opened Beauty Shop Bellaire, a store selling a mix of well-known and under-the-radar independent brands of skincare and beauty products. The selection is focused on scientifically tested, eco-friendly merchandise. The store is on the first floor of 5202 Bellaire Blvd., one of the oldest buildings in Bellaire that was once home to the town general store and milkshake bar, according to Nadon. Clean beauty brands include OSEA, Ursa Major, RMS Beauty, Saint Jane Beauty and Grown Alchemist. The shop has a refill area where customer can refill products such as shampoo and hand wash.
