The former supermodel is currently on a week-long vacation to “refuel.”
Paulina Porizkova appears to be soaking up every moment of peace during her latest tropical getaway.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit icon, 57, took to Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 24, to pose for a selfie with her travel companion as they kickstart their relaxing vacation.
“The ladies fresh from the boat. Well, plane, actually. And then a taxi,” Porizkova captioned the post, which featured her smiling at the camera while sporting a natural, no-makeup look. She also appeared to be in full-on tropical mode, wearing a bathing suit underneath a bright, floral patterned top.
“Here we are, a tropical paradise for a week to refuel,” she added in the caption.
But Porizkova also got candid about the feeling of guilt she has while celebrating a vacation amid the chaos going on around the world.
“Meanwhile, there are mass shootings, Oscar nominations, ongoing war and executions for protesting women’s rights,” she wrote. “Our world is now structured so that we have information at our fingertips wherever we are. Which makes it hard to not to feel guilty when taking pleasure.”
Luckily, the No Filter author has a plan to deal with the feelings of guilt, telling her followers, “This week I will try to carve out a little time to just be grateful for what I have. Live in my present to refuel so I can rejoin the fray with batteries fully charged.”
As a result of the honest post, Porizkova’s fans implored her to enjoy herself instead of feeling remorseful about taking a lavish trip.
“Enjoy your holiday!!! You deserve it and are spreading good messages to the world ❤️,” one fan wrote.
Just for a while, detach, isolate and refresh. 🙌🔥😎,” another encouraged.
“We can’t save everyone we can only save ourselves & be the best example,” someone else added.
