Filmmaker Michael Moore proclaimed to MSNBC host Ari Melber that democracy may be lost if former President Trump isn’t indicted following the Jan. 6 inquisition and then predictably started comparing him to Hitler once again while asserting that Trump is very “clever” at appearing “stupid.”

“He’s always been very clever. he’s been very clever at making you think he’s stupid,” Moore adamantly claimed concerning Trump on MSNBC’s “The Beat” Friday.
Then Melber and Moore started hyperventilating over the Jan. 6 findings which made multiple criminal referrals for the former president based on the report. Many believe that those charges are perfunctory and will go nowhere in the end. Conservatives assert they have no basis whatsoever.
“I think this report is incredible. The committee did such an incredible job. People will read the ‘Cliff Notes’ version, or they will read the whole thing, or they will watch your 25 minutes. But I’m telling you that I truly believe in the goodness and the belief in justice of the American people that they are not going to tolerate this,” Moore contended.
“You said in one of your comments there that we have a fair system, and I want to believe that too, but the people watching this show know there are two sets of rules – one for the wealthy and connected, and one for the rest of us and that is how he has gotten away with this. The key for us as the public is to not let him get away with it,” said the man worth an estimated $30 million with his trademark divisiveness.

“If they only end up indicting Chesebro and not Trump, then we have lost as a society, as a democracy. This can’t happen. We have to go right to the source. The report says this comes down to one individual. The plot started before he knew he was going to lose. That is the most important part of the conspiracy and everything they had in place. As you said, the key was to create chaos, chaos from election night onward so nobody could get the thing together to make this happen, the chaos theory,” Moore stated.
He went on to charge that Trump tried to create chaos after the 2020 presidential election as Adolf Hitler did in Germany in 1933.
“Back in January of 1933 … Billy Wilder, the great film director, a Jewish man who lived in Berlin got on a train to Paris the day after Hitler was inaugurated. Hitler was democratically elected. And he did that and his family is going, ‘why are you leaving? Hitler’s an idiot. Nothing’s going to happen. This is Germany. Yes, we’re Jews, but we’re Jews in Germany. The editor of the morning Berlin paper is Jewish, the conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic is Jewish. We’re okay.’ And he’s like, ‘no, we’re not okay.’ [Wilder] knew in ’33. There was no Holocaust then. There was nothing. But he knew immediately. Hitler and the Nazies started creating chaos,” he said, continuing his disingenuous comparison between Hitler and Trump.
Moore has compared Trump to Hitler for many years now. He infamously did so in his 2018 documentary “Fahrenheit 11/9.”
