THE easiest way to get the most out of your paid time off has been revealed.

While the calendar hack is super simple, it has proven a good example that employees’ lives and situations are still complex.

One TikToker has revealed how to get the most time off to satisfy wanderlust

A TikTok account called @travelyourtwenties recently showed the travel-inclined how to get the most out of their paid time off.

“This is how you’re going to maximize your 2023 PTO,” the TikToker says at the start of a recent video.

Her face was in front of a marked calendar with TikTok’s green screen feature.

“For example, the 19th is a holiday in June. With the two weekends, all you would need to take off is the 15th and 16th to have a five day weekend.

“You can go so many places in just five days,” she explained.

In February, President’s Day can get you the same long-weekend treatment, according to the video.

The same goes for Memorial Day – taking off the 25th and 26th could earn you nearly a week of (paid) vacation time.

“Another stand-out month is November,” the TikToker spilled.

With weekends and the Thanksgiving holiday, travelers can get up to “17 days off in a row, just using eight days of PTO.”

If there are longer trips you want to take, November would be the perfect time.

Utilizing the 12th of November through the 26th, both Sundays with the 23th and 24th off for Thanksgiving, she gets the 17-day vacation.

The PTO days in this line-up are the 13th-17th and the 20th through the 22nd.

While the method of selecting calendar days for travel seems easy enough, users in the comments felt that not everybody is so privileged.

One person commented: “Step 1: find a job that gives you all of those holidays.”

Another person confessed: “I have 10 days of PTO which also includes my sick time.”

“I work in hospitality, what are holidays,” another commenter wrote.

Others appeared to find the hack useful, writing: “I love you!!! I’m the worst at not using days off and my goal for 2023 is to use all of them. I’m saving this video.”

And another person suggested: “But don’t forget flight and hotel prices spike over those holidays.

“Pick your vacations *now* and get lower prices!”
