Donald Trump NFT Collection
Former US President Donald Trump has been lampooned by numerous worldwide media sources in the past for his beliefs and opinions in the form of cartoons and comic books. This time, though, the former president joined their league to start his digital trading card company rather than to make fun of them.
A superhero-themed video on Trump‘s social media platform, Truth Social, teased his “big surprise,” and it created a flurry of rumours on Wednesday. Later, the President himself disclosed that he will be opening an internet store to sell digital trading cards of himself dressed as various characters for $99, including a superhero, an astronaut, an Old West sheriff, and a number of other characters.
The New York Post reported that Trump’s announcement from Truth Social (accessible to US customers only) indicated that he will be portrayed with a chiselled chest wearing a cape, triumphantly riding an elephant, and donning a stylish tuxedo in the James Bond style.
The former US President added in the video, which multiple accounts on Twitter have shared, “Here with significant news is Donald Trump, ideally your favourite president of all time — better than Lincoln and better than Washington. My first official Donald J. Trump NFT collection is currently underway.”
Then he urged his supporters to purchase the $99 apiece Donald Trump digital trade tokens, comparing them to “baseball cards.” With a picture of himself all out like a superhero, replete with a cape and “Trump Champion” belt, he announced the release of the line.
Mr Trump said, “Would make a great Christmas gift. Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!” He described the NFTs as containing “really incredible artwork pertaining to my life and career,” and that purchasing one is a ticket to “a very exclusive community.”
Prizes include a one-on-one Zoom call with the President, a private dinner in Miami, a meet-and-greet with Trump at his opulent, exclusive Palm Beach resort, a private meeting with Donald Trump at Mar-A-Lago, personally signed memorabilia, a round of golf with the President and your friends, etc., according to to Collect Trump Cards, the trading card game’s official website.
According to the website, buyers of 45 trading cards are “assured a ticket to a meal with the President.”
